INTERRELIGIOUS LIBRARY OF BOOKS AND MUSIC

In a setting where resources are scarce, the Interreligious Service maintains a library of books and music that provide opportunities for people to learn about those of other faiths, cultures, and patterns of thought. The library holds close to 1,000 volumes dealing with world religions, faith, philosophy, non-violence, peacemaking and inter-faith dialogue. Many books are directly concerned with peacemaking and non-violence in the context of local religious traditions, musical heritage, and the recent nationalist conflict. Books are available in local language, English and German.

The Interreligious Service also has up to 1,000 CD recordings of music, emphasizing choral music based in religious traditions. It offers a wide variety of Western classical music and the most extensive collection of Orthodox liturgical music available in Sarajevo, as well as fine recordings of Islamic and Jewish sacred music.
